Pearl Jam have announced the initial two concert dates for this year which will take place this summer with more dates expected to be announced for this fall.

As the band teased fans earlier this week, they will be performing at Chicago's Wrigley Field on July 19th.

The have also announced another summer concert on July 16th at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario, Canada.

Both shows are being billed as "An Evening With Pearl Jam," and there will be no support acts for either show.

The band also plans to announce a North American fall tour in the near future.

Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba has offered up the latest excuse for the band's notorious concert tardiness insisting the delays have been caused by production issues rather than arrogance on behalf of leader Axl Rose, but also says he understands why fans have resorted to bottling the stage or venting their anger on social media.

Ashba says, "We have a huge rig and pyrotechnics so often it's the case of fitting all that into the venue. Our number one priority is to make the shows safe. It kills us as a band because we're not doing any of this on purpose. Our main goal is to go and give the fans a show they will never forget and we understand how expensive tickets are. We take that into account and when we do hit the stage it's almost impossible to get us off."
