Rush received their second and third honors in the last five days following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday.
On Sunday night they were awarded the Rock Album of the Year award for Clockwork Angels at the Juno Awards the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. All this week, their song "Limelight" is being used during the opening of the Hockey Night in Canada telecasts, to which Geddy Lee says, "After a truly amazing and overwhelming week of accolades, the cherry on top of the sundae has to be the nod from our own national institution Hockey Night in Canada … Way to go eh!”
Congrats to RUSH and the others now in the Rock Hall. Some Induction fun in video form here:
In 1993 Conan O'Brien got an audition for the Late Night hosting gig. His mock guests were Mimi Rogers and Jason Alexander. That audition resurfaced on the Team Coco website. In the end, he got the job, got momentarily promoted to THE job, and then landed on TBS. All because of one audition. Changed his life. I wonder if he'd be bagging groceries if he lost it to someone else?
